Carol Coletta, head of the national network of urban leaders, CEOs for Cities, will join The Greater Louisville Project as keynote speaker for the community forum where we will release the 2010 Competitive City Report.

Why is the GLP bringing CEOs for Cities to Louisville?  Because they do interesting work reframing the challenges confronting American cities in provocative and engaging ways.

“We must have strong cities to have a strong America,” the CEOs for Cities website proclaims.

CEOs for Cities describes itself as a “cross-sector network of urban leaders from the civic, business, academic and philanthropic sectors dedicated to building and sustaining the next generation of great American cities.”

It does that by:

§         Identifying first-look trends and opportunities that represent the best opportunities for cities and the people who live in them to succeed.

§         Connecting urban leaders to powerful ideas and each other.

That’s a great mission.   Check out the website:  www.ceosforcities.org

And hear Carol Coletta speak at the community forum sponsored by The Greater Louisville Project to release the 2010 Competitive City Report at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 24, in the Conference Theatre at the International Convention Center, 221 South Fourth Street (3rd and Jefferson Streets Entrance).
