The Greater Louisville Project is made possible through the generosity of a consortium of philanthropic foundations convened by The Community Foundation of Louisville that includes The Annie E. Casey Foundation, Brown-Forman, The C. E. & S. Foundation, The Community Foundation of Louisville, Gheens Foundation, The Humana Foundation, The James Graham Brown Foundation, The JPMorgan Chase Foundation, and the Stephen Reily and Emily Bingham Fund.

Stephen Reily serves as Chairman of the Policy Board that guides the Project. Its members include Susan Barry, Rusty Cheuvront, Alice Houston, Dana Jackson, David A. Jones Jr., Virginia Judd, Bruce Maza, Michael Mountjoy, Sharon Receveur, Dennis Riggs, Mason Rummel, Carl Thomas, Tina Jo Walters, Jim Welch, Tess McNair, and Caroline Heine. Carolyn Gatz, an independent consultant, directs the Project.
