Criteria for Inclusion in the Competitive City Action Network

The Competitive City Action Network represents the most powerful initiatives underway to change community indicators identified in the Competitive City Report. 

While a wide array of services and programs are essential to community improvement, the Competitive City Action Network goes beyond routine service delivery systems and identifies strategic initiatives aimed at change.

Partners identified in the Competitive City Action Network are committed to innovation and to accelerate change in key indicators identified in the Competitive City Report.

Criteria for inclusion in the Competitive City Action Network:

1. A strategic initiative or program, not an organization or campaign
2. Innovative or focused on change designed to advance a key indicator of progress
3. Has measurable goals and impact
4. Is publicly recognized and has demonstrated staying power
5. Is collaborative or based on partnership
6. Is cross-cutting and affects more than one dimension of the Competitive City Agenda
